Bring USDC to Arc

Everything on Specie settles in USDC, and gas is paid in it too, so a wallet with nothing on Arc cannot do much here. This moves USDC you already hold on another chain through Circle's own transfer protocol: it is burned there and issued here by Circle, rather than wrapped by a bridge or pooled with anyone else's money.

Circle burns the USDC where it is and issues it again on Arc. Nothing is wrapped and nobody holds it in between. Specie takes no fee for this and cannot move the money: the mint happens only when you sign it.

How it works

  1. You approve exactly the amount, on the chain the USDC is on.
  2. You sign the burn. The USDC leaves that chain.
  3. Circle attests to the burn once the chain is final, or sooner for a fee.
  4. You sign the mint on Arc. The USDC appears at the same address.

Specie takes no fee here and never holds the money. Gas on each side is yours, and an attestation on its own cannot move anything without your signature.
